Dusky dawn and noir night.

On his terrace as a kid,

He wandered in his bit..

Sometimes he saw the sunset in mist,

Other nights he welcomed his bliss..!!

Kid, you are lost and it’s  a myth,

His mum followed him to the end..

She knew he would fly up and high,

Set him free to those dusky dawn.. she never reached..!!

That boy secretly turned into a noir void,

Nocturnal animal you are, they said..

He was torn between Batman and Joker,

His inside was a Gotham, where he disappeared in a noir night..!!

Do not open my memories.

In the dark times and ages,

Let me sleep through and sail..

In the deepest fall with no pit,

Let me fall and fly to gravity of self..!!

You call it quit, I say something is coming up,

These demons behind on your back..

That scary night in the memory you run away,

I say listen to the beats of fear and dance naked..!!

Everything vapours and burns in your head,

You move, you crawl and you fly in the dark..

There comes a light, like someone’s just whispered your name,

You take it or you miss, your life is just one open-eyed dream..!!

It ain’t me, babe!

You just don’t listen to Bob Dylan, you worship HIM.

His, It Ain’t Me Babe is a lifer. It originally appeared on his fourth album, Another side of Bob Dylan. Late back in 1964, he wrote something which a guy in 2017 relates to completely. It touches human experience and how ! I read somewhere, it forged the folk rock movement soon after its release. Enough said?

It is like the music gospel..

Go melt back in the night
Everything inside is made of stone
There’s nothing in here moving
An’ anyway I’m not alone
You say you’re looking for someone
Who’ll pick you up each time you fall
To gather flowers constantly
An’ to come each time you call
A lover for your life an’ nothing more
But it ain’t me, babe
No, no, no, it ain’t me, babe
It ain’t me you’re lookin’ for, babe.

And then recently I heard It Ain’t Me by Kygo and Selena Gomez. I was too furious with the idea of touching the masterpiece by these new age teen pop sensation. But then I opened up myself and gave it a chance.

Now, I’m stuck with it. Literally!

I can’t get over with it. Listening on loop!

The words are hip and youth centric but the music is the real healer here, catches you and holds you tight. Kind of big warm bear hug. Kygo, you go man!

Somewhere in heaven God asked, ” Who’s gonna walk you through the dark side of the morning? “

Bob Dylan smiled and sang, ” It ain’t me! “

Long Live The Legacy !!

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,What are they feeding you?

Imagine the cat is none other than us. Now let me repeat the famous song of Phoebe Buffay from Friends.

Three, four…

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
What are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,

It’s not your fault..!!

” Cat being the human race i.e. us, and they are, the corporates. “

You may not be a bed of roses
You’re not friend to those with noses
I’ll miss you before we’re done
Or the world will smell as one

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
What are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat
It’s not your fault..!!

Oh are we done?

” Ask yourself, are we? “

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
What are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat
You’re getting fat..!!

All the dogs in the neighborhood
Are saying this for your own good
What, you’re fat, so you can’t run
No fun, I bet, No fun

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
Porno makes you eat like that
I saw you in the shopping mall

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,
It’s not your fault,

We know what was in your food
They say it might affect your mood

You smell like something dead !!

How appropriate this wonderful piece of song is from almost twenty years back, which fits even today on all of us.

We begin the smelly cat, eat insanely anything under the hat, stuff ourselves so bad and then get sick to death.

Well, it’s not our fault.

Remember, this is what they are feeding us. (Through the idiot box!)

But the question remains alive,

Are we done yet ?

PS : Pheobes, I love you to the friends and back!
